Enrope: From spare to complete lift

Whether for the compact LUIS LIFT, individual spare parts or custom products: German manufacturer enrope is a specialist in innovative cable car technology and therefore attracts customers worldwide.

Still relatively new to the market but growing rapidly: cable car manufacturer “Engineering rope” – or “enrope” for short – introduces itself. The business, which is five years old, has over 30 years of experience, since brothers Anton and Peter Glasl both acquired sound knowledge of the development, construction and servicing of cable cars with cable car manufacturer LST Loipolder..

Environmentally friendly technology

They have used this knowledge to find innovative solutions in cable car technology and their latest feature is the retraction device for T-bar lifts, which combines sustainability and progress. The Glasl brothers have specifically optimised the retraction device for T-bar lifts and developed a bespoke eddy current brake.

The wear-free and environmentally friendly technology can finally be used for double-haulers. In the cable car sector too, environmental concerns are becoming increasingly significant. The latest product therefore works with no fine particulate from brake pads and no dripping brake fluid. Moreover, the brake is fully adjustable. This is a genuine global innovation.

For the first time, the extension and retraction behaviour can also be adapted to the specific requirements of an operator, e.g.:

  • Easy extension for service lifts
  • Powerful start to clear the entrance quickly
  • Fast spooling for quick alighting or fast lifts
  • Slow retraction for lightweight brackets or uneasy alighting

Perhaps the BEST THING about the innovative brake is that it can be retrofitted as an application on almost all DOPPELMAYR, GARAVENTA, Loipolder and Reiter retraction devices. ENROPE GmbH remains true to the principle of sustainability here.

LUIS LIFT

surprises with details such as straight supports, a large cable sheave and a high cable.

LUIS LIFT with a passion for detail

With enrope, everyone is a premium customer. This is evident particularly in the innovative “LUIS LIFT”, which is distinguished from its rivals through numerous technical details.

“As simple as necessary, as comfortable as possible” is how designer Anton Glasl succinctly summarises the concept of the drag lift. The sophisticated, largely maintenance-free system has been developed according to the principle “keep it simple and smart”. “The hydraulic tensioner and the straight supports make maintenance very easy; the variable speed and large cable sheave improve comfort,” Glasl says.

With maximum engine power of 45 kilowatts and a maximum cable diameter of 16 millimetres, the lift has a very compact design. The system can therefore be installed quickly – generally within a week. Compact foundations avoid the need for large encroachments into nature.

“Unlike its rivals, the platter lift has a cable that runs at the height of a normal double drag lift,” Glasl adds. As such, the lift track can be prepared by the snow groomer with no problem. “The result is a drag lift with an interesting and competitive cost structure,” Managing Director Peter Glasl summarises.

Its affordable and simple design make the LUIS LIFT attractive especially for small ski resorts, ski schools, hotels and children’s parks, particularly as the system is designed specifically for children and novice skiers.

Global innovation:

Detachable cargo cages

The cargo cage is another example of ENROPE innovation. For the operators of one double drag lift, the issue of accessibility was right at the top of the list of priorities. ENROPE was therefore commissioned to develop a cargo cage to transport wheelchairs, walking frames, pushchairs etc. The chairs are permanently clipped on but the cargo cages can be detached at the touch of a button. This is a global innovation. It guarantees relaxed loading and unloading without the need to stop the cable car constantly – a real improvement in comfort, perhaps soon for your cable car too?

Service & spare part production

Openness to existing installations of all types is also characteristic of ENROPE’s second mainstay: service and spare part production for platter and drag lifts. “We have special tools and our own workshop, where we can perform repairs and produce components that are no longer available on the market,” Anton Glasl reports.

Safety and comfort on older cable cars could therefore be improved one step at a time, at no risk to the tried and tested existing systems. “We also prepare all the necessary documents and certificates,” his brother, Peter, adds. ENROPE generally has good lines of communication with authorities and experts: “They regularly recommend us for overhauling drag lifts of all ages, brands and models.”
