Egypt: A connection for the new town of Galala enhanced by POMA

In 2018 POMA installed a tourist cable car to connect the new town of Galala to the tourist coast of Ain Sokhna. This cable car is a part of the largest construction project of Galala city. Since completion of the cable car construction, POMA has invested a great deal. A team of engineers and technicians has been recruited and trained on the operation and maintenance of cable car.

The Egyptian state has entrusted Galala operation to hotel group TOLIP. As it is unfamiliar with cable car transportation, it asked POMA and decided with no hesitation to commission POMA to provide the O&M, as the cable car installer.

POMA EGYPT is proud to add TOLIP to its loyal customers list. In addition to operation and maintenance service, POMA assists TOLIP in the discovery and the development of his new business. This includes making additional investments during this year with the aims of increasing passenger number and making the cable car an icon of Galala city.

Cable car to attract tourists

Among these investments, implementing activities such as mountain biking or the Agility Park will contribute to promotion of the whole Galala project and carry a large proportion of customers, with the cable car as a centerpiece (bike tracks, zip line, lookout platform, shops, restaurants and more.
