This was announced by the Minister of the Presidency,<strong> Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Paliza<\/strong>, and the Minister of Tourism, <strong>David Collado<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"63\" data-end=\"427\">The cable car runs from the city to the summit of Mount Isabel de Torres and is considered one of the region\u2019s main tourist attractions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"429\" data-end=\"597\">The renovation is budgeted at more than 20 million US dollars. The funds come from the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) and the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC).<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-start=\"599\" data-end=\"913\">\u201cThe Puerto Plata cable car has been a symbol of Dominican tourism for five decades.
