According to the daily newspaper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prensalibre.com\/economia\/teleferico-entre-la-aurora-y-antigua-da-otro-paso-7-analisis-definiran-si-el-proyecto-es-viable\/#google_vignette\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Prensa Libre<\/a>, the project could create a new transport link between the country\u2019s main international airport and one of its most popular tourist destinations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Authorities are currently assessing whether the project is viable and worthwhile. Representatives of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI, BCIE in Spanish) have confirmed that the initiative is moving into the feasibility study phase.<\/p>\n<p>The study will examine several key aspects, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passenger demand;<\/li>\n<li>Alternative transport solutions;<\/li>\n<li>Technical feasibility and engineering requirements;<\/li>\n<li>Preliminary assessments of environmental and social impacts;<\/li>\n<li>Cost estimates and potential financing models.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>According to the BCIE, the consulting firm responsible for conducting the study has not yet been officially selected.
