The project was presented by real estate developer Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC).<\/p>\n<p>One of the key elements is the construction of a cable car across the Chao Phraya River. The system is intended to connect the existing retail areas with a new mixed-use district on the opposite side of the river.<\/p>\n<p>Under the guiding concept \u201cBuilding Better Future\u201d, AWC aims to transform Asiatique The Riverfront Destination into a sustainable, world-leading tourism and lifestyle hub.<\/p>\n<p>A total investment of eight billion baht (around \u20ac210 million) is planned for the redevelopment of the site.<\/p>\n<h3>Cable Car as a Work of Art<\/h3>\n<p>An investment of two billion baht (around \u20ac52.6 million) is earmarked for the cable car alone. According to the current plans, it will be built without support pillars in the river, ensuring that shipping traffic on the Chao Phraya River is not disrupted.<\/p>\n<p>The cable car will be directly connected to MONA Bangkok, a project being developed in collaboration with MONA, the founder of the internationally renowned Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) in Hobart, Australia.<\/p>\n<p>The museum is considered one of the world\u2019s leading institutions for contemporary art and attracts visitors from around the globe every year.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe cable car is more than just an infrastructure project: it will be designed as a kinetic work of art that transforms the river crossing into an immersive experience combining art, light, sound, technology, nature and architecture,\u201d the company writes on its website.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div><style type=\"text\/css\">.fusion-builder-row .fusion-layout-column.gradient-column-2 .fusion-column-wrapper:before {content: \"\"; Experience World<\/h3>\n<p>Unlike traditional franchise museums, MONA Bangkok is intended to serve as an international platform for cultural exchange, combining works by international artists with site-specific installations by Thai artists.<\/p>\n<p>Together, the cable car and MONA Bangkok are set to create a unique world-class destination. The project aims to set new standards in experiential tourism and further strengthen Bangkok\u2019s position as an international hub for contemporary art and cultural tourism.<\/p>\n<h3>Avatar Experience World<\/h3>\n<p>In addition, a large-scale immersive experience world titled \u201cAvatar: Guardians of Eywa\u201d is being developed based on James Cameron\u2019s \u201cAvatar\u201d franchise.
