The almost 10-kilometer-long ropeway connection takes its passengers directly to the city\u2018s largest transport hub, Indios Verdes, where they can easily transfer to the bus and metro.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo describes the first line of the Cablebu\u0301s: \u201cFor us, the ropeway is not only a mobility project but also a social one. We want to offer the best public transport to the people of our city and we are starting where improvement is urgently needed.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>The travel time for commuters on everyday routes is halved. In comfortable 10-seater cabins, they glide above traffic jams and arduous routes.<\/p>\n<p>One leg of Li\u0301nea 1 between the stations Tlalpexco and Campos Revolucio\u0301n has already been in operation since March 2021. The first experiences are very positive. The new means of transport is well accepted.<\/p>\n<p>With the completion of the main axis, the connection to the underground and bus network has now also been created and will thus make everyday life easier for many commuters.<\/p>\n<p>Not only is the route to work is made easier by the system, but the cable car also has an impact on the employment of the population in other ways. Linea 1 will directly create 300 jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Konstantinos Panagiotou, CEO of DOPPELMAYR Mexico, attended the inauguration and is delighted with the project\u2019s success: \u201cThe Cablebu\u0301s brings great relief for people\u2019s daily lives. City\u2019s transport authority, Servicio de Transportes Ele\u0301ctricos (STE). In the first year of operation, DOPPELMAYR Mexico will be responsible for operation and maintenance of the installation. After that, the trained team will transfer to the cityauthorities.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas Pichler, Managing Director of DOPPELMAYR Holding SE, explains: \u201cIn Mexico City, we are establishing the central
