The way from Govind Ghat to Hemkund Sahib is a 19 km steep and tough foot track and takes about 12 hours to reach the Shrine.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Many people can not get to the site because of the strenuous hike. The project would mean accessability for everyone. In additon, indirect and direct employment would be generated. Risk to flora, fauna and soil is negligible due to effective implementation of EMP.<\/p>\n<p>A 13 km long cable car will transport 500-1000 people per haulage.
