At that time, the project was rejected, but the level of suffering as a result of the increasing traffic has since increased sharply.<\/p>\n<p>Planning and construction costs are between three and ten million dollars per mile for an underground railway, or 36 million dollars per mile for a light railway.<\/p>\n<p>The gondola is therefore significantly cheaper than its competitors.
