Now, after a meeting with Prairie Sky officials, it became clear that the decision was necessary.<\/p>\n<p>The Rossdale Burial Site is a Native American resting place that has been an officially recognized cemetery since 2005.<\/p>\n<p>Karen <strong>Principe<\/strong>, tastawiyiniwak ward councillor, was the only one to oppose the decision, which was very clear by a vote of twelve to one:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt was a very tough decision.I just thought that it was such a great, creative idea and something unique for Edmontonians.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Principe adds that more extensive discussions with the indigenous community would be necessary to finalize the leasing agreement with Prairie Sky.<\/p>\n<\/div><style type=\"text\/css\">.fusion-builder-row .fusion-layout-column.gradient-column-2 .fusion-column-wrapper:before {content: \"\";
