The cable car transports guests between The Village at Palisades Tahoe and the Alpine Lodge, allowing expert skiers and riders to alight at the middle station.<\/p>\n<p>The ride from the Village to the Alpine Lodge takes about 16 minutes, which enables guests to experience both mountains without the use of additional vehicles on the road.<\/p>\n<p>The 96 gondolas, each offering room for up to eight people, pass over a 2.4-mile (3.9-km) route from base to base.
