This line comprises two gondola lifts located in Tizi Ouzou, a town situated 100 kilometers from Algiers.

Enhanced Connectivity

This cable car system seamlessly connects Tizi Ouzou‘s university and Sidi Belloua hospital with the village of Redajouna.

With a capacity to transport approximately 1,000 passengers per hour, this system employs around 120 cabins traversing the cable. When completed, the cable car system will stretch over 5.4 kilometers, featuring six stations and four stopovers.

Optimal for overcoming obstacles

The Tizi-Ouzou region is imade up of a barren relief, 94 percent consists of mountains and foothills, from which thousands of people flock daily to the villages perched on the peaks.

During the day, the number of people present in Tizi-Ouzou doubles. Therefore a cable car system is the best solution for the public transport in Tizi Ouzou.

The first cable cars installed by POMA in this country date back to the 1950s and early 1960s. Tizi Ouzou is the 13th success.

After the first line got installed in 2019 POMA works now on the construction of the second section for the city Tizi Ouzou.

[187,301
