Students and commuters alike hope for some relief on Burnaby Mountain. Long waiting times have to be taken into account, especially during peak times. An urban ropeway that connects the SFU campus with SkyTrain would therefore be in the interests of many of those affected. According to a survey by TransLink, 9 out of 10 people would support the new transport system.
\nRespondents indicated that safety and reliability are important aspects for a transportation system, as are connections to fast transit, environmental aspects and frequency.
\nWhile the general approval for the project is high, the Mayor of Burnaby, Mike Hurley, points out that although the general approval is high, only 35 percent of the people who live in the area of \u200b\u200bthe planned cable car support the idea.<\/p>\n
