For the first time with inspiration days
For the first time INTERALPIN, the world’s leading trade fair for Alpine technology, is offering INSPIRATION DAYS – a high-quality fringe programme on the topics of innovation, marketing and digitalisation.
As the most important meeting point for the global cable car industry, the INTERALPIN trade fair from 8th to 10th May 2019 is expecting over 26,000 specialist visitors from more than 85 countries at Innsbruck exhibition centre.
For the first time, the event this year will also feature the INTERALPIN INSPIRATION DAYS. “This new format represents a useful addition to previous content at INTER ALPIN and it will reach new suppliers and new visitor target groups alike,” says Director Christian mayerhofer, Managing Director of Congress Messe Innsbruck (CMI).
From “silicon Valley mindset” to “Happy meal marketing”
This means that, for the first time, visitors to INTERALPIN have the chance to experience top-class professional keynote speeches followed by topical company presentations on the subjects of innovation, marketing, and digitalisation. The INTERALPIN INSPIRATION DAYS will begin on Thursday 9th May with a talk on “The silicon Valley Mindset”.
Technology researcher and author Mario Herger, who has lived in silicon Valley for nearly 20 years, describes what can be learnt from the world champions of inno- vation and how this can relate to the strengths of our own industry. The second keynote speech will be delivered by Professor Hubert Siller from the faculty of tourism at Management Center Innsbruck (MCI).
The focus here is on the future of winter sports with opportunities and challenges in the mountains. Also, Ursula Weixlbaumer-Nortz, the long-serving head of “happy Meal” and family marketing at McDonald’s, explains why professional cable car marketing targeted at children and families demands responsibility, special know-how and a nuanced approach to the target group.
The INTERALPIN INSPIRATION DAYS continue on Friday 10th May with a key- note speech by longstanding former Director of switzerland Tourism Jürg Schmid. The central aspect of his responsibilities was the global positioning and marketing of switzerland as a holiday, travel and conference destination. Under the title “Is the mountain still calling? strategic thoughts on the future of Alpine tourism,” Schmid will therefore examine the facts, trends and future development of Alpine tourism.
Valuable additional benefit for visitors and companies
“between the individual sessions, there is enough time for attendees to explore the whole trade fair,” INTERALPIN Project Manager stefan Kleinlercher indicates. Trade fair visitors could therefore select specific talks that are of interest to them from the programme.
“ At INTERALPIN, this produces valuable additional benefit for visitors and companies in the form of knowledge transfer and, at the same time, creates the opportunity for participating companies to make a big impression with their presence,” the project manager emphasises.
For visitors, entry to the INTERALPIN INSPIRATION DAYS is inclusive with trade fair admission. Advance booking is recommended, owing to the limited number of places available. www.interalpin.eu/inspiration-days
