More than just the core business is humming at the used snowcats retailer: demand for rental snowcats and ski slope maintenance services is growing rapidly, too.


PISTENTECH’s numerous satisfied customers come from nearly 50 different countries from around the globe. The company’s high commitment, quality and fair prices have won the German retailer of used snowcats a large market over the past few years. But the enterprise’s two other mainstays, snowcats rentals and the maintenance service “Slope to go”, are growing robustly, too.


This explains why the 8,000 square meters’ open-air grounds at the company’s headquarters in Deisslingen/ Schömberg are filled with vehicles. In addition, PISTENTECH is currently erecting a new 540 square meter garage to make sure the company is well prepared for its promising future. The company’s offer includes all important makes and models. Its offer of machines for other fields of application has grown, too.

Vehicles are sold both with and without prior overhaul depending on the customer’s needs and budget. To ensure a complex offer, PISTENTECH’s portfolio also includes snow canons and lances – which, too, are prepared in accordance with the customer’s wishes. PISTENTECH does not only sell snowcats; it purchases them as well: “Anyone can call us and offer their skislope vehicle, whether it is new or an older model,” explains Antonios Karakikes, Managing Director.


While trading with ski-slope vehicles remains the company’s core business, rentals are becoming increasingly more important as well. Fair prices, reliability and adherence to delivery dates are paramount in both business branches. PISTENTECH even takes care of the vehicles transport to the customer, including custom and export clearance. The company has its own transport vehicles to take the sold or rented machines to the places of their delivery.

Slope to go

With “Slope to go”, PISTENTECH now also offers a service that increasingly more ski resorts find interesting – including some resorts with FIS competition circuits: a team of PISTENTECH experts engaged by the relevant ski resort is responsible for the entire preparation of the resort’s ski slopes. The fixed price of the service includes grooming of slopes with the company’s machines, repair services, maintenance and the company’s drivers.


But not only ski resorts use these services. In Turkey, for example, a wind farm commissioned PISTENTECH to ensure access to the facilities even in the snow. ts
