Innovation for over 50 years

The first prototype of a piste vehicle was developed and successfully taken to series production by company founder and racing driver Ernst Prinoth in 1962.

Ever since, the company has stood for innovative thinking and it has broken new ground time and again for over 50 years. At PRINOTH, operations have therefore expanded to several divisions and more than 600 employees worldwide.

In addition to the South Tyrolean head office in Sterzing and a used vehicle site with repair workshops and a spare parts depot in Telfs, PRINOTH also has a production site in Canada and in Germany respectively.

Top performance in the World Cup

The technological edge of PRINOTH also makes the company a sought-after partner in top-class sport. The superior PRINOTH technology delivers perfect pistes even in the most adverse weather conditions and the reliable vehicles handle their work even in the worst blizzard, so that no events have needed to be cancelled where PRINOTH has looked after the preparation.

Most recently, PRINOTH was used at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld – the brilliant piste finish was explicitly highlighted by FIS and quality from Sterzing was also used at the Biathlon World Championships in Antholz. HUSKY and BISON provided optimal condition on the groomed trails.

Special attachments ensure that the snow is optimally compacted, which results in a better, higher-quality and above all more consistent cross-country trail – even on difficult terrain. The relative position remains constant even around corners and loosens the snow layer exactly where the trail boot goes.
