AUSTRIA: Innovative personnel campaign – luxury lodge for staff

Normally, only the guests get to stay in such luxury: a conservatory, bespoke hand- crafted furniture, a rainfall shower, exclusive use of the wellness area and
organic-quality full board.

Naturhotel Chesa Valisa in the Austrian area of Kleinwalsertal is responding to the increasingly alarming staff shortage in the
hotel and catering industry and has now constructed its own luxury lodges for staff, with a total of 16 apartments.

Around three million euros were invested here, as Naturhotel Chesa Valisa hosts Magdalena and David Kessler reveal: “We want to offer our staff the best working and living conditions. With their hospitality, service, care and warmth, it is ultimately they who make our establishment the place that our guests value and love.”

Construction of the luxury lodges is a response to the current staff shortage in the industry. Kessler says: “The situation has come to a head again since the coronavirus and there is tough competition for the country’s best workers.”
