Marijana Jakic new CEO of St. Moritz Tourism AG

The St. Moritz native and member of the management of Engadin Tourism prevailed in an open application process out of around 80 applications. Marijana Jakic will officially take up her post on 1 September 2023.

After the establishment of the new St. Moritz Tourism AG in May 2023 and the appointment of the board of directors entrusted with strategic leadership, the future CEO of the organization has now been determined.

Marijana Jakic (45), a local candidate, has emerged as the successful candidate from an open application process, outperforming 80 other applicants. Currently, Jakic serves as Brand Manager and a member of the executive management at Engadin Tourism.

The experienced tourism professional convinced the board of directors with her track record.

“Marijana Jakic, with her leadership qualities and personality, will shape and further develop the premium destination St. Moritz,” says Franco Savastano, President of St. Moritz Tourism AG, in a press release. The newly elected CEO will officially assume her role on September 1, 2023.

About Marijana Jakic

Marijana Jakic is 45 years old and has been working at Engadin Tourism (formerly Engadin St. Moritz Tourism) since 2017. As a member of the executive management (since 2019), she is responsible for the Brand St. Moritz division with nine employees.

Previously, Jakic worked in the financial sector for over 20 years at GAM/Swiss & Global Asset Management and Julius Bär in various roles – most recently as Head of Brand at GAM Investment Management in London. She moved to St. Moritz with her parents from ex-Yugoslavia in 1993, where she completed secondary school and her apprenticeship.

Marijana Jakic is the mother of a 14-year-old son, who attends Lyceum Alpinum in Zuoz.
