Cable car project in Bonn proceeds well

For years now, the cable car project in the federal city of Bonn has been considered a pioneer in Germany. The ambitious project - the city is to be completely crossed by cable car - is now slowly picking up speed. There are still a few steps to go, but the project could be commissioned in 2028. Then you could gondola through the city with your local transport ticket.

In India, urban ropeways are playing an increasingly important role in tackling traffic problems. With the Parvatmala Programme, a national ropeway development programme has existed since 2022. The Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, recently announced his intention to develop more than 250 projects with a ropeway length of over 1,200 km within five years.

Feasibility study for cable car in Kelheim put out to tender

In the Bavarian town of Kelheim (located between Ingolstadt and Regensburg), a feasibility study for a connection to the rail network is put out to tender. An urban cable car is considered the preferred option by local decision-makers. The Free State of Bavaria is supporting the project with more than 100,000 euros.
