Interalpin: Expanding its global network
Over the past few weeks, Interalpin has further expanded its international network. With City Cable Car Solutions 3CS, the new conference format for urban cable car mobility was successfully continued at Mountain Planet in Grenoble.
Shortly afterwards, Interalpin was represented at the NSAA National Convention & Tradeshow in Carlsbad, California, and used this North American industry gathering to exchange ideas with international partners and to further strengthen its long-standing and successful collaboration with the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA).

As part of City Cable Car Solutions 3CS 2026 in Grenoble, international experts discussed developments and prospects for urban cable car transport.
3CS is developing into an international thematic platform
The second edition of City Cable Car Solutions 3CS brought together international experts from transport operators, planning, academia, politics and industry in Grenoble. The focus was on specific projects, scientific findings and strategic approaches to integrating cable cars into urban transport systems.
Practical examples such as Câble 1 in the Paris region and Téléo in Toulouse demonstrated how urban cable cars can be successfully integrated into existing mobility concepts.
The programme was complemented by a guided tour of Mountain Planet, where the latest technological developments and solutions for urban use were presented.

International engagement with the North American market
With its presence at the NSAA National Convention & Tradeshow, Interalpin also underlined its close ties with the North American market. During the event, Interalpin project manager Stefan Kleinlercher met with NSAA President and CEO, Mike Reitzell.
The discussion focused on continuing the long-standing partnership and further international exchange in the run-up to Interalpin 2027.
“The past months have once again shown just how important face-to-face interaction is within the international industry. Whether at City Cable Car Solutions in Grenoble or at the NSAA Convention in the USA: such platforms forge valuable connections and provide important impetus for the further development of Interalpin. Together with our partners, we are already working intensively on the next edition in 2027,” emphasises Interalpin project manager Stefan Kleinlercher.

Preparations for Interalpin 2027 are underway
The next Interalpin will take place from 20 to 23 April 2027 at Messe Innsbruck (Exhibition Centre). Alongside the international market leaders in alpine technologies, trade visitors can once again look forward to a comprehensive supporting programme.
It will feature the Austrian Cable Car Conference, the Interalpin Inspiration Days, City Cable Car Solutions 3CS, and accompanying events such as the Inter-Alpine Natural Hazards Conference (INAC). Following its successful debut, INAC will once again bring together experts from science, infrastructure and industry.
