BARTHOLET: PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION & TRAINING

The new academy in Flums passes on important know-how for operation of the cable car systems. On the training courses, work processes can be practised and plenty of additional knowledge can be communicated, owing to the easier access to otherwise built-in elements.

For optimal use of a cable car system, well-trained staff are an important requirement. This is why BARTHOLET has developed its own academy in Flums, which enables cable car operators to undertake professional education and training.

The “Bartholet Academy” stands out not only for its modern infrastructure but also for its high practical relevance and customerspecific training programme. Since last summer, at the head office in Flums, cable car manufacturer Bartholet Maschinenbau AG has offered various training programmes for operators of cable car systems.

Essential basic knowledge for optimal operation of the systems is communicated clearly in various languages and in a practical way. Small groups foster an ideal learning environment. In addition to a comfortable training facility, the new, in-house education centre offers a comprehensive technical infrastructure, so that the learning can be applied and consolidated directly in practice.

On site, BARTHOLET provides all components relating to hydraulics, mechanical equipment of the stations and tracks. The primary objective of the training facility is direct and straightforward knowledge sharing as well as regular communication of the latest technology.

The general training programme is structured in three different levels.

• In the basic training, BARTHOLET communicates the basics of cable car technology.
• At the next level, Advanced, the students get to know the main components from BARTHOLET.
• Among other things, successful completion of the third level, Expert, facilitates independent performance of audit plans and testing processes.

The education provision equally includes training courses tailored specifically to the customer, which can also be conducted on the site of the operator if required. Furthermore, the provision from the academy also includes support in operation as well as training on the “Sambesi” maintenance software. Optimal use and maintenance of the system is always the top priority in the communicated content. An additional training site is currently under construction in Beijing. Enrolment for the training courses is undertaken online via the website www.bartholet.swiss.
