Ujjain: urban cable car to the temple

Ujjain is one of the seven “holy cities” of India. The large city, with a population of 550,000, attracts a multitude of pilgrims thanks to the Mahakaleshwar Temple. Starting in the summer of 2026, a cable car will transport devotees from the railway station to the temple via an intermediate stop at the Triveni Museum. The engineering firms SALZMANN and BERNARD Group are supervising the project.
