The Hemkund cable car project

The Indian project is taking on shape. Easing traffic and making the journey easier for locals and tourists is a must.

India‘s Hemkund project located in the district of Chamoli, Uttarakhand is taking on shape. The way from Govind Ghat to Hemkund Sahib is a 19 km steep and tough foot track and takes about 12 hours to reach the Shrine.

Many people can not get to the site because of the strenuous hike. The project would mean accessability for everyone. In additon, indirect and direct employment would be generated. Risk to flora, fauna and soil is negligible due to effective implementation of EMP.

A 13 km long cable car will transport 500-1000 people per haulage. India is ready for a new cable car and ready to develop this project.
